The economy of the united states increased by 390,000 jobs last month, far exceeding the 328,000 according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, new economists had estimated and communicating that the labor market is still hot despite fears of an approaching recession. An estimated 397,000 women joined the labor force last month, bumping the participation rate of women to 58.3%, just one percentage point below their pre-pandemic participation rate of the labor force, reports the National Women’s Law Center.
