According to an ILO publication launched on June 16, “Making the right to social security a reality for domestic workers,” more than two thirds of domestic workers in the Asia and Pacific region are not covered by even one social security benefit. Meanwhile, 3 in 5 domestic workers in this region are still excluded from labor law protections and over 70 percent have no legislated limit on working time.
